How do I apply?

Before you start, check the technical requirements:

  • The application form is tested successfully in these browsers:
    Internet Explorer version 5, 6 and 7, Firefox 3 and Opera 9.
    The browser must allow JavaScript and cookies.
     
  • Uploaded documents must have a file size of 3 MB or smaller. Only PDF, JPG and PNG files are allowed to upload. No Word documents may be uploaded. Make sure you upload only black/white documents. 
     
  • It is not possible to save data halfway through the application form. Once started, the form must be completed. It is advisable to read all the instructions beforehand and check that the Internet connection is stable. 

 Application procedure

  • Make sure what kind of mobility and target group you belong to
  • Decide what university, programmes/courses you want to apply to. For detailed information on the requirements for studies at the selected university please visit their website. If necessary, use the links to contact your selected university/universities directly for more information about their study offers and research opportunities.
  • Prepare the relevant documentation
  • Apply on this website. After you have registered your name and e-mail address you will receive a user-ID and password to access the application database.
  • Start your application process:
    - enter all required personal data
    - apply for mobility i.e. choose target group and mobility group
    - find the fields of study of your interest and click on it. A list of academic courses, time period and positions available at all the European and Chinese partner universities will appear. Post-doc and staff applicants may hand in an "open application", by using the field of study 16.9 in the database (Others in other areas of study).
  • Make sure that you have read and understood the application and admission conditions for the course or programme of your choice carefully before you make you decision
  • Upload relevant documents.
  • One original hard copy of the application is to be sent to the applied university, when asked for, later in the selection process.

Important!

  • If you don't have a valid passport, we ask you to submit a copy of your birth certificate or identity card.
  • You may apply for two different universities.
  • You can apply to maximum two courses/positions altogether
  • Note that some universities (e.g. Lund University and UC Dublin) have received more applications than most other universities. Thus, you better your chances to be nominated for a scholarship, if your second choice is to another partner university.
  • Once the successful candidates have been selected, they will have to submit the original copies of their diplomas, transcripts, language proficiency proof etc. to the host university.
